West London Townhouse
Extensive renovation of large 8 bedroom house for a family moving over to london from the us. Including new finishes, flooring & lighting throughout as well as full FF&E, soft furnishings & styling throughout.
It felt important to distinguish the two connecting spaces of the Dining Room & Living Room separately with their own identity, and Howe’s Cypress paper felt like a great backdrop to the dining room, softening the space yet still allowing for the client’s bold artwork to hang proudly.
The Breakfast Room, connected to the Kitchen, allows for more informal family dining, with bold tones & textures to complement the array of artwork hanging above in a gallery format. The new floor tiling gives a subtle nod to the monochromatic kitchen, and adds a playful touch to the space.
This Downstairs Loo had a complete revamp, with new marble checker flooring running through from the Entrance Hall, and we wrapped all the walls & ceiling in a beautiful Soane wallpaper - I was keen to give my Clients a nod to historical British design & artisans.
A delicate palette of buttery yellows & soft teals in the Master Bedroom allows for a calming vibe, without feeling too feminine to suit both husband & wife. The result feels fresh & invigorating.
The client was very keen for me to create some really exciting, layered & homely spaces for their two daughters. In the Playroom we added in the window bench, and had a lot of fun with the colour scheme, layering up different patterns & textures to create an inviting yet functional space for their two young daughters & their friends at the top of the house.
